Kitto Group is proud to mark the successful conclusion of the 12‑month defects period for Thatcham House in Kingsway, Gloucester. Delivered in 2025 as a £3 million new‑build development for Advance Housing & Support, the project created 22 thoughtfully designed one‑bedroom apartments complemented by communal spaces, landscaped gardens and dedicated parking .
Over the past year, Thatcham House has stood up remarkably well. A small number of defects were identified – minor render repairs and one ceiling repair – and these were promptly resolved. Given the size and complexity of the project, such a minimal snag list is a testament to the quality of work delivered by Kitto Construction and the bespoke joinery crafted in‑house.
The success of Thatcham House lies in the combined efforts of Kitto’s Development, Construction and Joinery teams. Kitto Developments navigated a lengthy planning process and funded the project to the Golden Brick stage, enabling Advance Housing to reclaim VAT . Kitto Construction managed the build to a high standard, while Kitto Joinery provided bespoke elements that enhance the apartments . The result is a secure, purpose‑built environment that offers residents not just a place to live, but a place to thrive .
We are delighted with how Thatcham House has performed over its first year and look forward to seeing it continue to serve the community for years to come.
