Following a breakdown in talks with another developer, Happy Days’ Nurseries approached Kitto Group PLC about implementing a Development of a Nursery for 81 children on their behalf on a site in Weston Super Mare. Kitto Group through their own funds have purchased the site, obtained planning consent and constructed the nursery. In return, Happy Days’ Nursery have signed a 25 year lease.
Heads of Terms were swiftly agreed between the landowner, the nursery and Kitto and the site purchase and lease was exchanged simultaneously in July 2017.
The new building is single storey with a floor area of approximately 490m2. Kitto Group PLC have constructed the building through Kitto Construction to a shell specification with Happy Days’ Nurseries undertaking their own fit-out. The shell specification includes the construction of 14 car parking spaces and the play area for the nursery children. Works completed in late June 2018. Early access was granted to Happy Days Nurseries’ to allow opening before September 2018.
The Nursery comprises four group rooms and various ancillary space comprising offices, toilets, kitchen and a reception as well as an outside play area.
The Nursery opened on the 28th August, 2018.
